AMS AND THE MAN | 17-21 September 2019

a romantic comedy by BERNARD SHAW

All’s fair in love and war as a classic romantic triangle spins out of control in Bernard Shaw’s (Pygmalion, Saint Joan) most popular play.

Raina Petkoff craves more out of life. So, when a charming soldier on the hop from the battlefield clambers into her bedroom, what’s a clever, practical minded girl to do? Offer him sanctuary, feed him chocolate and fall in love. It’s only natural. The problem is, she’s already engaged. To the most eligible man in town. Raina needs to decide if she stays true to her gallant fiancé, or if she elopes with this dashing, mysterious stranger.

Will the battlefield hero conquer her heart, or will the suitor with the most chocolate win?

DANGEROUS LIAISONS | 15-19 October 2019
an original dance adaptatio

It got a facelift in the 90s with Cruel Intentions and now Sedos brings a fresh new take on the classic story of seduction, betrayal and exploitation.

Be transported to Hollywood where beauty is expected, abuses of power lurk under the shiny surface and the rivalry of two high powered producers set in motion a story that will create stars and destroy lives.

Told through dance, experience an original adaptation that brings Dangerous Liaisons crashing into the gender politics of 2019.

RAGTIME

Book by TERRENCE MCNALLY
Music by STEPHEN FLAHERTY
Lyrics by LYNN AHRENS

Based on the novel RAGTIME
By E. L. Doctorow

At the dawn of a new century, everything is changing... and anything is possible. Set in the volatile melting pot of turn-of-the-century New York, three distinctly American tales are woven together – that of a stifled upper-class wife, a determined Jewish immigrant and a daring young Harlem musician – united by their courage, compassion and belief in the promise of the future. Together, they confront history's timeless contradictions of wealth and poverty, freedom and prejudice, hope and despair... and what it means to live in America.

WORKSHOP | Tuesday 25 June
AUDITIONS | Wednesday 24 July, Friday 26 July, Saturday 27 July
