Company
Music and Lyrics by STEPHEN SONDHEIM

One apartment. Countless relationships. Endless reasons to celebrate — and you’re on the guest list
7-16 MAY 2026
"It's much better living it than looking at it"
Company is a sharp, witty, and deeply human portrait of modern relationships, told through a kaleidoscope of vignettes that capture the joy, chaos, and heartbreak of being part of someone else’s life. Friends, lovers, exes, and almosts swirl around Bobby in a heady mix of cocktails, candour, and Sondheim’s razor-sharp score, from the blistering comedy of Getting Married Today to the aching vulnerability of Being Alive.
In this reimagining, the walls between audience and performer disappear. You’ll find yourself in the thick of it, clinking glasses, dodging dance moves, and catching every smirk, sigh, and side-eye up close.
A multiple award-winning masterpiece, Company remains one of musical theatre’s most incisive and entertaining dissections of human connection.
Step inside. Join the party. And maybe, just maybe, find the answer to what it means to be alive.
Director Emily Phillips commented: "Company is a dream show as a director who is also a musician because it blurs the line between dramatic storytelling and musical storytelling, giving the opportunity to shape every emotional beat through both staging and music. I couldn’t be more excited to work with this fantastic team to give audiences a new lens to appreciate this poignant and hilarious show through."

What a show! Honestly, I had to pinch myself and double check the programme: are these really amateur performers with regular day jobs? “Company,” based on the book by George Furth with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, feels far closer to a polished Broadway production than something you’d expect to find in the unobtrusive, little known Bridewell Theatre tucked just off Fleet Street in London… this staging of “Company” feels like a standout achievement.
Sedos’ production of Company is an ambitious and thoughtfully realised take on one of Sondheim’s most beloved musicals. Through inventive staging, strong musical direction and a cast that embrace the emotional complexity of the piece, the production captures the show’s enduring relevance with real clarity. At its heart, this is a cast that understands the tension between connection and loneliness and captures the complicated messy reality of adult relationships with warmth, humour and sincerity.
Despite being rooted in real-world situations and relationships, I found myself so engrossed in proceedings I did a rare thing (for me, at least) in forgetting I was even in a theatre. Making allowances for a limited budget and this being amateur dramatics also went out of the proverbial window, in a production that had an overall quality that was equivalent to that of a West End show.
This is a fantastic production from Sedos… If you have the opportunity to catch it before it closes it is a brilliant interpretation of one of Stephen Sondheim’s most famous and engaging shows.
This is a bold production, given fresh life by an exceptionally talented cast.
I enjoyed this production. Clever choices, high energy, beautiful arrangements… It’s a remarkable show, sharp, chaotic, funny – and very real. I’m giving this four stars: well done again, Sedos.
A show laced with enthusiasm and ingenuity… felt both faithful and yet fresh.
When it comes to the risks of immersive theatre, the effort is rarely worth the payoff… So it is with a refreshing sense of elation that I can say that in this respect and many, many others, Sedos’ ‘immersive’ production of Sondheim’s Company has got it just right.
