London amateur theatre societies at Pride in London 2026

Saturday 4 July 2026

Sedos is delighted to once again be taking part in Pride in London, joining friends from amateur dramatics societies across the capital to celebrate LGBTQI+ pride, visibility and inclusion within the theatre community.

This year, even more amateur dramatics groups from across London are coming together to march through central London as part of the Pride Parade, creating our largest shared amateur theatre presence at Pride to date and celebrating the strength, diversity and creativity of our community.

To help coordinate the large number of participants involved, societies have organised themselves into three geographically based contingents, allowing local groups to march together while remaining part of a wider amateur theatre presence at Pride.

Whilst participants have been organised into three geographically based contingents for administration and registration purposes, we are hopeful that Pride in London will place all three groups together in the final parade line-up. Marching side-by-side would create a significant amateur theatre presence within the parade and provide an opportunity for all participating societies to celebrate together.

Central area

  • Sedos
  • Centre Stage London
  • Geoids Musical Theatre
  • Tower Theatre

South East area

  • The Quay Players
  • The Phoenix Players
  • The Bromley Players
  • Bob Hope Actors Company

South West area

  • Putney Light Operatic Society (PLOS)
  • BROS Theatre Company

Together, these societies represent hundreds of performers, creatives, volunteers and theatre-makers from across London and the surrounding areas.

Pride provides an opportunity not only to celebrate the LGBTQI+ members of our organisations, but also to demonstrate our shared commitment to creating welcoming, inclusive and supportive spaces for everyone who participates in amateur theatre.

Taking part

A total of 150 places have been allocated across the three contingents. Each participating society has been given an initial allocation of places, with any unused spaces being reallocated between societies closer to the event to help ensure as many people as possible can take part.

Participation is completely free for members of all participating societies. Whether you're a performer, creative, volunteer, committee member or supporter, we'd love to see you joining us as we celebrate Pride together in the heart of London.

To take part, you'll need to sign up through the society of which you are a member. Full details of how to register will be shared by each society through their usual communication channels, including social media and email newsletters.

We expect this event to be popular, so some societies may operate waiting lists initially. If that happens, don't be discouraged - societies will continue to work together in the lead-up to the event to make the best possible use of all available places across the three contingents.

Sedos members

Sedos sign-ups will open at 9am on Saturday 13 June 2026.

Keep an eye on your inbox and our social media channels next week, where we’ll share full details of how to register. We can’t wait to celebrate Pride with you and to be part of what promises to be our biggest ever amateur theatre presence at Pride in London.

We look forward to marching alongside our friends and colleagues from across the amateur dramatics community and celebrating Pride together in the heart of London.
